How to Activate Beast Mode:Bodybuilding Motivation

Posted on May 7, 2019May 14, 2020 by Vibhuti Khanduri

How to Operate on Beast Mode Every Time !

How come some people are seemingly training in beast mode every time ,while others find it tough to gather energy to finish a single workout session? What motivates them to maintain that energy during every training session? Are they freaks of nature ? What can we do to develop that champion’s psychology ? How can we activate the beast mode within?

Bring It On!

At the start of a journey,we are all filled with enthusiasm .The feeling of freshness that comes with, starting a new chapter of life provides us with the excitement, the initial boost.

Although, the decision to bring about positive change in your life and taking actions based on your decision,is no mean task. However, after the initial excitement fades away,we find the enthusiasm being slowly replaced by agony as a result of encountering roadblocks on our path.

Your decision to work on your fitness and the journey that follows, marks a similar trend. Initially,we are all psyched up when we decide to sign up for a gym. We go and buy gym gear, scan over dozens of fitness blogs and videos,to get that beach body,to have arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger or be as agile as Bruce Lee.

Fanboys All Around!

The muscles aren’t accustomed to the stress that a workout provides, so initially you notice exponential changes in your body (Peter Parker’s transformation when bitten by a radioactive spider) .

People start appreciating the changes in your appearance. You start growing out of your old clothes. The opposite sex starts noticing you.You are on cloud 9!

It’s a long road…

The honeymoon period continues for a while, but gradually your muscles stop responding the way they did initially. The rate of muscle growth declines.Since the people around are now used to the fit you,you start getting complimented, lesser. You soon find that some people are more genetically gifted than you.

Soon the bubble bursts! When you see a person who joined the gym later than you, lifting as much as you can,you start questioning yourself.”May be its not meant for me”,you start justifying to yourself. Now on seeing someone who is in a better shape than you,you start making excuses.”Ahh!He just got lucky with his genes”,”he must be taking steroids, what an idiot” or “he wouldn’t be having any life outside the gym”.

Soon you start doing your workouts half-heartedly. As a result, the intensity of your workouts ,starts going down.Due to the lower intensity, the muscles start responding even lesser, which results in even greater despondence.

Ahh,screw it!

This vicious cycle continues until one day ,when you decide that you have had enough. You say to yourself “I am not genetically gifted as others,I can’t take steroids ,I have other responsibilities as well. Why take the pain, day in and day out, of exercising,of sticking to a healthy diet when I know that I can’t be as good as others.I should rather enjoy my free time, outside of work, just like others”.Soon you decide to throw in the towel!

throwing in the towel

What separates winners from losers

What do you think ,leads so many people to quit in middle of the journey ,which they so enthusiastically set forth on.Is it because of their ‘busy schedule’,is it because of their circumstances or is there something more than meets the eye ? What separates the quitters(achievers) , from those who don’t quit ?

It’s the mindset !That’s all to it ,there is.Not superior genes, not steroids, not more free time. The main difference between achievers and quitters are the aspirations that drive them to their fitness goals.

Having the right mindset to activate the Beast Mode

The people who we find working passionately, day in and day out are not freaks of nature. They aspire to improve themselves each day.Their main competition is with themselves.

Pushing yourself each day, irrespective of the emotions you are feeling, requires you to think “inside-out” .

Thinking Inside-Out

What do I mean by thinking inside-out ? It means you trusting the process, celebrating private victories rather than waiting for external recognition, to feel good about yourself.Thinking inside-out means celebrating the days when you felt exhausted after a long day at work and still show up in the gym, when you stick to your diet, when you improve your personal best.

To think inside-out means you evaluate yourself via an internal scorecard. Not waiting for others to evaluate you, so that you can feel good about yourself. It means celebrating private victories and building up on them, before the outside world starts admiring you.

No matter how small the milestones be,you need to start patting your back on reaching them, along your fitness journey.Only on celebrating these milestones,do you start developing self-belief, which helps you to run on Beast Mode every time .

“You have to believe in yourself when no one else does, that makes you a winner right there.” ~ Venus Williams

Yes my website runs through WordPress platform. The great thing about creating blog through WordPress is you don’t need to have any prior html knowledge to create your blog.
However, having some html knowledge helps. But its not necessary . So, you can learn it later, if you find the need to !
